What I keep, and why

Short version: enough to give you your appointment and to let you know when something changes. Nothing sold, nothing shared beyond the services that run the studio.

What I collect

When you book a treatment or send an enquiry, I keep your name, your telephone number and your email address. If you tell me about an allergy, a skin condition or anything else that affects your treatment, I keep that too, because carrying it out safely depends on it.

I do not take or store your card details. Payments are handled by the booking system, and I never see the full number.

Why I keep it

  • To give you your appointment, and to contact you if something about it changes.
  • To send patch-test reminders where a treatment needs one.
  • To keep a treatment history, so I know what worked last time.
  • To send occasional studio news — see the mailing list below.

The mailing list

Booking adds you to the studio mailing list. It is occasional — news, offers and changes to the menu — and never daily.

To come off it, message me on Instagram at @curatedandcobyella or email ella@curatedandco.uk. Say the word and you are off it — you do not need to give a reason, and it does not affect your booking.

Who else sees it

Only the services that run the studio, and only so far as they need to:

  • The booking system, which holds the diary and takes your deposit.
  • The email service that delivers enquiry messages and confirmations.

Nothing is sold, rented or passed to anyone for advertising.

How long I keep it

Your booking and treatment history stays while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a patch test or a past reaction is not lost if you come back. Ask me to delete it and I will, unless I am required to keep a record of a treatment already carried out.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Message or email the studio and I will answer. If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
